Urban Studies Community

Launch website Kennismakendenhaag.nl

Geplaatst in NewsFlash.

The website www.kennismakendenhaag.nl was launched on the 21st of January! On the site you will find projects of The Hague Knowledge Institutes on social themes. The platform provides a picture of how researchers, teachers and students are researching these issues together with the municipality and working towards concrete solutions. It is also a matchmaking tool for active residents who are looking for collaboration with students and researchers or vice versa. It is a database and an archive for those who want to know what kind of research has previously been done around a particular theme or place. Nice to know: urban studies programme coordinator Jetse Siebenga was a key player in development of the website.
There are now almost 40 projects, but this is just the beginning! Who knows what Urban Studies will add to this platform in the coming years. Did you know that 3rd year students start the course ‘setting up a project’ for the very first time? And that they will work on solutions for issues the municipality experiences in the areas of e-mobility (shared mopeds) and energy transition?
